Who is posting the event?
The same event may be treated differently depending on who publishes it and in what capacity.
Route 1 — The venue is posting its own event
A genuine event venue may post information about events taking place at its premises under the venue guidance.
- Town halls, village halls and community halls
- Pubs, clubs and restaurants
- Comparable genuine event venues
Route 2 — A business or commercial organiser is promoting its own activity
Normal business advertising rules generally apply.
Business advertising is permitted Friday, Saturday and Sunday. To advertise, create or sign in to a LocalSpotlight business-owner account, submit your listing for approval, then include the approved LocalSpotlight listing URL in every advert.
Route 3 — Open Caerleon publishes the event
An organiser can ask Open Caerleon to publish suitable event information on its behalf. Publication is discretionary, and Open Caerleon may edit or shorten the wording.
