Who is posting the event?
The same event may be treated differently depending on who publishes it and in what capacity.
Route 1 — The venue is posting
A genuine event venue may post information about events taking place at its own premises, including outside the normal business advertising period.
- Town, village and community halls
- Pubs, clubs and restaurants
- Other premises genuinely operating as event venues
Route 2 — A business or commercial organiser is posting
When a business or commercial organiser promotes the activity it provides, that will normally be business advertising.
- Local Spotlight approval is required
- Post Friday to Sunday
- Include the approved Local Spotlight URL
Route 3 — Ask Open Caerleon to publish it
We may publish suitable events as neutral community information. Publication is not guaranteed and admins may edit the wording or remove excessive promotion.
