Venues have more freedom to share what is happening at their premises
This helps residents find out what is happening locally.
Who may qualify?
- Town, village and community halls
- Pubs, clubs and restaurants
- Comparable premises with genuine capacity to host events
What may a venue post?
The exception applies to the venue communicating what is happening at its own premises.
- Individual events taking place at the venue
- A programme of upcoming events
- What’s On listings and regular schedules
What does the exception not do?
The venue exception does not automatically allow every business or organiser using that venue to promote itself outside the normal advertising period. Where a commercial business or organiser posts its own promotion, normal advertising rules generally apply.
