Venues have more freedom to share what is happening at their premises
This helps residents find out what is happening locally.
Who may qualify?
- Town, village and community halls
- Pubs, clubs and restaurants
- Comparable premises with genuine capacity to host events
What may a venue post?
The exception applies to the venue communicating what is happening at its own premises.
- Individual events taking place at the venue
- A programme of upcoming events
- What’s On listings and regular schedules
What does the exception not do?
It does not automatically allow every business or commercial organiser using that venue to advertise outside the normal advertising period. Where the provider of a commercial service posts its own promotion, normal advertising rules usually apply.
