SLS – Street Life Sarnies
The group started initially for a small stint over the Summer to help a project in Bristol that my family were going to. A project run by volunteers out of car boots, offering sandwich packs, hot food & drinks, clothing/toiletries & support. With around 180-200 guests that specific night in July and 40-60 sandwich packs to watch hunger so rife and visible was pretty gut wrenching. Team Oarstuck 2017 Team Oarstruck, a four man crew consisting of local Caerleon lads, John Evan Morgan, Joel Wood, Hugo Thompson and Monty Williams, will be competing in the 2017 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, ‘The World’s Toughest Row’, to help raise money for Diabetes Uk. The race begins in December 2017 and sets off from San Sebastian de La Gomera, Spain, ending over 3,000 nautical miles later in Nelson’s Dockyard, English Harbour, Antigua.
