Good Evening all.
I hope you have all had a lovely bank holiday weekend!
Before I announce the winners of the first Caerleon Scarecrow trail I would like to thank the community for getting behind us and supporting us if it wasn’t for the wonderful people of Caerleon and your enthusiasm then it would never have become as successful as it did. The scarecrow entries that we had were all phenomenal and you can tell a lot of time, effort and care went it to making them. I would also like to thank my committee of Cher, Robin, Jackie and Mary who helped keep me sane and had some wonderful ideas throughout the process and are still coming at me with more for future events.
A big thank you needs to go to our sponsor G.M.L Scaffoldling who has supplied the 1st prize and the community vote prize for us.
Caerleon festival also kindly donated our 2nd and 3rd prizes so a big thank you to them too.
And last but not least a big thank you needs to go to our judges: Miss Penn (Headteacher of Charles Williams Primary School), Michael Stuart, Reverend Sue Pratten, Jason Hughes and Joan Watkins, who took the time out of their busy schedules to score each of the 44(!) entries we received out of 10.
So if you’ve got this far that means you are now wanting to know who the winners are and without further ado please find below your winners!
