About Cormac Downes

Cormac picked up a camera during COVID Lockdown and has not looked back. Born and raised in South Wales, where he lives with his family, he has taken advantage of the awesome natural beauty on his doorstep, developing his skills and building a portfolio of stunning photos. His work covers a variety of photography types, including land and seascapes, wildlife, portrait and travel photos. His real passion is landscape astrophotography: the discipline of composing earth elements with those of the night sky to create compelling photographic imagery. His love for the night skies is captured in his work and he can often be found rambling the Welsh hills and coastlines with his camera and head torch.
